Mir vs. Cormier set for November 3rd

It is being reported that the heavyweight battle between former UFC champion Frank Mir and undefeated Strikeforce Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament winner Daniel Cormier will take place Nov. 3 in Oklahoma. The match-up will be the final heavyweight bout under the Strikeforce banner as all of the fighters in that promotion’s heavyweight division are being phased over to UFC. Cormier’s fight came in the Grand Prix tournament finals, where he defeated Josh Barnett to become the tournament winner. Mir is coming off a short notice loss to reigning UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos at UFC 146.
