Wanderlei Silva’s father dies in car crash over the weekend

UFC fighter Wanderlei Silva’s father, Holando Pinheiro da Silva, died in a car accident over the weekend. The accident occurred in the Castro area where da Silva lived.

Silva tweeted the following to his fans (translated from Portuguese):

“Thank you for the strength my brothers please pray for our family in this difficult time, with the support of God.”

“[There are] no words to thank the support from you guys, we did not know what else to do at such times and we see who is with us thank you”
