Junior dos Santos vs. Cain Velasquez will close out 2012

After last night’s UFC 150 post-fight press conference Dana White confirmed that the UFC’s reigning heavyweight champion, Junior dos Santos, will defend his title December 29 against Cain Velasquez at the promotion’s year-end pay-per-view in Las Vegas.

Cain Velasquez has been widely expected to be dos Santos next opponent as former number one contender, Alistair Overeem, continues serving his nine month suspension for elevated testosterone levels.
