Frankie Edgar: “The fact that I was the champ and it got taken from me. It’s a little more motivating.”

Frankie Edgar has used a team of MMA all-stars and an extra week at elevation to get ready for his UFC Lightweight title fight with Benson Henderson at UFC 150. Check out some highlights of his interview below:
On getting to Denver:
“I’ve been here for a week. I just spent a week in Colorado Springs and I just got to Denver today. I’m feeling pretty acclimated now. Colorado Springs is actually 1,500 feet higher and now we’re down a little bit lower. I think this next week we’ll be able to acclimate perfectly.”
On Benson Henderson:
“He’s so well rounded. He’s a big guy. He pushed the pace. His kicks were really well. I was able to catch them. I think I need to capitalize on catching those kicks.”
On his training:
“I had Evan Dunham up here, I had Dustin Poirier, I had Edson Barboza, Josh Thomson. I’ve had some phenomenal training partners this camp.”
On his motivation:
“The fact that I was the champ and it got taken from me. It’s a little more motivating. We try to use that in the gym and we had a great camp.”
