Erik Koch out, Frankie Edgar now faces Jose Aldo at UFC 153

Erik Koch who was scheduled to face UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, Jr. has been pulled from the card due to an injury. Instead Aldo will now face former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar at UFC 153. UFC 153 is scheduled to take place October 13, 2012 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

On the title bout, Edgar took to Twitter and said, “Thanks to all of the @ufc fans for all of the support. And thank you to @danawhite & @lorenzofertitta for the opportunity.”
