Dana White reported exclusively to the Underground that Tim Sylvia would not be joining the Zuffa roster, under either the UFC or the Strikeforce banner.

White said the signing was never announced, and that “long story, but yes, Tim is not with Zuffa.”

Former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia has been signed to the Strikeforce promotion to fight Heavyweight Grand Prix winner and heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. The fight is scheduled to take place on September 29 at Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento, CA. The bout is scheduled to be the last heavyweight fight in the Strikeforce heavyweight division as Cormier and Josh Barnett are scheduled to move over to UFC’s heavyweight division.
