Shipping Details-
I received this item fairly quickly in about 5 days. It was packaged in a sturdy heavy-duty plastic shipping bag. After opening the shipping bag I found the shorts were clean and folded very neatly inside another heavy-duty plastic bag. This product was prepared neatly and protected properly to sustain the trip.
Initial Evaluation-
The shorts are of a typical MMA fight shorts design with horizontal and vertical Velcro closures and an internal draw string that runs in a channel lock form. They have a convenient 4 inch split leg design for high kicks and general movement. Made from 100% flexible polyester fabric that is very strong. They sport a high quality silk screen design of the Form logo across the front and on the buckle flap.
A strong double stitch design throughout and reinforced stitching along the waist band. I did notice the waist band does not stretch and there are no flex panels. Overall I’m very impressed with the initial evaluation.
Trial-
I perfomed a 30 day trial on these shorts mostly consisting of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu style grappling. I was able to slip these on without a fuss; they are a loose fit and very comfortable pair of shorts. Right away I put them to the test with some aggressive grappling, I’ve had no problems, issues or restrictions with them on, they feel great. I was able to defend submission attempts by grabbing firmly onto the shorts with my “hand” (aka. Kung Fu grip). I was pleasantly surprised that they did not tear or stretch. In MMA sparring practice the results are no different, the loose flexible fit allowed for high kicks, high knees and a low kick parry.
Conclusion-
Although the waist band does not stretch and the there are no flex panels, I felt no restrictons or discomfort while wearing these shorts. After several hot washes the stitching and the screen printed logos have held up very well. I couldn’t ask for a better quality pair of shorts for the low cost. I am very pleased with this product and highly recommend it for everyday use.
