We value each and every one of our competitors and we provide an arena for them to excite and display their talents.”
Yosdenis Cedeno (5-2) returns to CFA. Cedeno was scheduled to fight Ryan DeRocher (2-3) at a past event but for unforeseen circumstances he was unable too. Now, the fight between both is set. DeRocher is coming off a lose, while Cedeno is coming back to the cage after an almost 8 month layoff.
In a lightweight battle, Evan Baxter (2-3) from Port St. Lucie and Miami’s Gabriel Varona (2-4) will try to prove that they deserve a spot in mixed martial arts. Baxter is coming fresh of a victory, while striker Varona has three back-to-back losses. This fight is pivotal for both as it could determine their future in mma.
With an undefeated amateur mma career, Carlos Rodriguez will make his professional mma debut against St. Petersburg, Florida’s Sky Moiseichik (1-1) who is coming off a defeat. He’ll want to make Rodriguez’s debut an unwelcoming one, but Rodriguez who was the ISKA featherweight champion said his amateur record proves that he got what it takes to be the best in the professional level.
Last time Homestead’s Patrick Williams (5-2) fought in CFA, he broke Sebastian Angel’s jaw in April. He’ll try to bring the same attack against Haender Rodriguez (5-5) who last fought in 2010. Williams has a two winning streak, while Rodriguez last defeated Caleb Archer. Rodriguez will try to improve his mma resume by earning a winning record, while Williams will show off his Arizona state wrestling skills and knockout power to the test.
Evolution MMA’s Josh Mercado (4-0) still doesn’t know what defeat is and he is not willing to lose yet, but Pennsylvania’s Dave Morgan (4-1) will make his first trip to the Sunshine state and he doesn’t plan to leave empty handed. Morgan plans on bringing a challenge to the undefeated striker and top ranked fighter in Florida. Morgan plans on doing so with his top-notch wrestling skill.
Brother of Alex Caceres of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, Jose “The Fresh Prince” Caceres (3-1) last fought in October, but he wants to prove he is ready to get back on the win column, but Sabah Homasi (4-3) from American Top Team is also hungry for a victory as he too lost last October. Homasi, who has 3 TKO victories, wants to prevent evening his record, while Caceres would one day like to climb the mma ladder just like his brother.
Knockout artist Oscar Delgado (4-2) will put his signature heavy hands to the test against The Jungle MMA’s David Baggett (8-7) in a light heavyweight war. Both have four knockout victories apiece, so expect a stand and bang warfare between these two.
In another featherweight battle, Joey Rodriguez (4-1) wants to brush off his first loss and add his name to the pool of top featherweight contenders in CFA, Jayson Jones (2-3) might stand in his way as he is coming off three back-to-back-back losses. Jones will fight for his mma career against the wrestler.
Mexican Chino Duran (6-5) will use his wrestling skills to earn another victory, after coming off a near year layoff, but Danny Chavez. He last lost to CFA Featherweight champion Jordan Parsons in February in the CFA featherweight tournament, but he wants another crack at Parsons and the title.Chavez wants to prove a loss will only bounce him back to victory, while Duran wants to make a statement that he deserves a title shot.
Lastly, Patrick Cenoble (8-1) was unsuccessful in the CFA lightweight tournament losing in the finals against Yoislandy Izquierdo in December, but he wants to put the past behind him, but to do so he has to go through MMA Masters Frank Carillo (5-2), who has a two-winning streak.
