The Collected Sayings Of Mario Sperry

Brazilian heavyweight Mario Sperry is a well known name in the martial arts community. For those not aware he was a protegee of Carlson Gracie and was awarded his black belt at the 1995 World Championships of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he entered and won the heavyweight black belt division. Mario went on to win the same competition from 1996-1998. In late 1998 Mario became the first fighter in history to make a Gracie submit in a match when he defeated World Champion Royler Gracie in Brazil. Mario also helped found Brazilian Top Team who has trained Antonio Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira, Antônio Rogério Nogueira, Ricardo Arona, and Paulo Filho, among others. Along the way Sperry put together some great tapes for those that want to learn BJJ at home. Below is the fruit of a poster named groundfighter2000 who combed through those videos and put together a great collection of Mario Sperry sayings. Enjoy!
