Watch Jose Aldo Run Out Into The Crowd After His UFC 142 Victory

In a scene reminiscent to something out of a pro wrestling show, after beating Chad Mendes last night in convincing fashion, featherweight champion Jose Aldo ran into his countrymen’s arms in Brazil. Watch the video below:

Dana White was not a fan of the idea:

“I do not like Jose Aldo jumping out of the Octagon and diving into the crowd,” White said. “It freaks me out. But it was a pretty cool thing to see. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen that really done the right way. … I’m glad that nobody got hurt, Jose included.”

But Aldo said he couldn’t help it:

“I know it’s wrong for me to dive out of the Octagon, but I just couldn’t resist it,” Aldo said, as he described the post-fight elation. “It was just bigger than me.”
