Maximum Fighting Championship Lightweight Champion Antonio McKee Stripped Of Title And Released

Maximum Fighting Championship lightweight champion Antonio McKee has been stripped of his title and will be released from his contract following his fight this Friday. The actions by the promotion are from a culmination of events, capped by McKee coming in seven pounds overweight at today’s weigh-ins. It has been over a year since McKee last fought for the promotion, during which time he suffered a split decision loss to Jacob Volkmann last year in UFC. McKee’s title bout against Brian Cobb is now a non-title three round affair.
