Ultimate Fighter 14 Finale Quick Results: Dodson stops Dillashaw to win bantamweight tournament
John Dodson used electrifying speed and quick strikes to offset TJ Dillashaw’s wrestling en route to a first round technical knockout victory in the Ultimate Fighter 14 bantamweight finale.
Team Jackson product Dodson notched the victory after a forearm counter and left hook dropped the Team Alpha Male product. Dodson quickly followed with several hammerfists causing Herb Dean to call a stop to the fight at the 1:54 mark, much to the dismay of the Las Vegas crowd; many whom felt the stoppage was premature. The official time of the stoppage was 1:54.
With the win, Dodson improves to 12-5, and earns the six figure contract and prestige of being the first ever bantamweight winner on the Ultimate Fighter series. Dillashaw falls to falls to 5-1.
