The big night is here CageJunkies! After battling for over a decade the UFC has gone mainstream. And tonight we will be covering the fruits of their labor, the UFC on FOX 1 extravaganza, headlined by Cain Velasquez defending the heavyweight title against Junior dos Santos. Enjoy!
Cain Velasquez vs Junior Dos Santos
Round 1: Velasquez starts out the striking by throwing a a good keg kick. Dos Santos looks to find his range and Velasquez lands another hard keg kick. Dos Santos drops Velasquez with a big looping right hand and then rains down a few more hard shots until Big John McCarthy had seen enough and steps in to stop the fight.
Result: Junior Dos Santos winner by KO in the first round
Wins UFC Heavyweight Championship
Clay Guida vs Benson Henderson
Round 1: Henderson catches Guida with a very hard punch and Guida immediately drops for a take down but Henderson keeps his feet under him. Guida keeps the clinch and continues to try and take Henderson down but can’t. They break and Guida lands a good short punch. They trade punches with Guida getting the better of things this time. They wrap up along the cage and Henderson lands a good knee.
CJ Score: 10-9 Henderson
Round 2: They trade and Henderson opens up with big knee. Guida secures a takedown but after a brilliant scramble Henderson ends up in the dominant position. They get up and clinch against the cage. They both trade hard knees to the body until Guida catches. Knee and takes the fight to the ground but Henderson almost immediately gets back to his feet. They clinch against the cage and Guida throws some knees. They break and return the center of the cage. Guida throws a wild spinning back fist which missed and caused a scramble that ended up with the fighters on the ground. Guida threatened with a guillotine but Henderson immediately passed to side control and then took Guida’s back where he remained for the duration of the round
CJ Score: 10-9 Guida
Round 3: They start with a very nice exchange in the center of the cage. Guida grabs for a double leg and Henderson shows great balance in resisting the take down attempt. They trade and Guida Attempts. Head kick but Henderson catches it and takes Guida down and takes his back. Guida escapes to his feet but they go right back to the mat and Guida grabs ahold of Henderson’s neck. Henderson shows brilliant defense and manages to get back to his feet and rain down punches on Guida until the end of the round.

Judges: Unanimous decision win for Benson Henderson
Dustin Porier vs Pablo Garza
Round 1: They go back and forth trading punches and kicks. Garza catches a kick and takes the fight to the mat and briefly threatens with a knee bar but Porier escapes back to his feet until they hit the mat again with Porier landing in Gaza”s half guard. Porier lands some good punches and the round ends with Gaza threatening with an armbar attempt.
CJ Score: 10-9 Porier
Round 2: They stand briefly to start the round until Gaza pulls guarx. Porier lands some good punches from the top and then locks on a d’arce choke forcing Gaza to tap.
Result: Dustin Porier winner by submission
Cub Swanson vs Ricardo Lamas
Round 1: Swanson lands some good kicks to start off the striking. An inadvertent kick to Lamas’ groin stops the action but only briefly. Lamas immediately lands a takedown and ends up in a very tight guillotine choke but Lamas is able to hold on and break the hold. They trade on their feet and Swanson lands some good punches until they clinch and Lamas tries to take Swanson down but lands on the bottom and Swanson hunts for subs until Lamas is able to get back to his feet and the round ends.
CJ Score: 10-9 Swanson
Round 2: Lamas lands some hard kicks but Swanson throws right back and Lamas takes the fight back to the mat. Swanson threatens with an arm lock but is unable to finish it. Lamas manages to get to side control and quickly passes to side control and locks on an arm triangle. Swanson tried hard to resist but was left with no choice but to tap.
Result: Ricardo Lamas winner by tap out via arm triangle
Damarques Johnson vs Clay Harvison
Round 1: They feel eachother out in the center of the cage and Johnson lands a hard straight left hand. Johnson lands a hard right hand that sends Harrison crashing to the mat. He throws another punch but Herb Dean has seen enough and the fight is stopped.
Result: Demarques Johnson winner by KO
Norifumi Yamamoto vs Darren Uenoyama
Round 1: Yamamoto shows off some very good foot work and lands a few good punches before taking Uenoyama down the get back up and Yamamoto again takes him down with a brilliant judo toss. He works from the guard but they get back up. And Barren takes him down and eventually takes Kid’s back but is unable to finish the choke before the round ends.
CJ Score: 10-9 Yamamoto
Round 2: Yamamoto lands a big left hand which opens a cut on Dares head. Darren decides to take his down and gets full back mount. Kid is back to defending the rear naked choke. Darren gets the body triangle on and throws punches to soften kid up. Kid is doing a good job of hanging on but that’s all he’s doing at this point. The round ends with kid defending.

Round 3: They stand and trade briefly until Darren pulls guard goes to work from the bottom. Yamamoto manages to get back to his feet and Darren has no choice but to join him there. They clinch against the cage and Darren looks for a takedown. He does not get it and the rest of the fight is spent on the feet.

Mackens Semerzier vs Robert Peralta
Round 1: A low kick stops the action almost immediately but the delay is not long and the action continues. They trade but quickly clinch against the cage with both fighters landing short punches. Penalty throws a big head kick on the break but it misses and the fighters return to the center of the Octagon. Semerzier holds on to Penalty until the break and go back to trading punches. Semerzier secures a single keg takedown and works to ass the guard of Peralta. Semerzier lands some good punches and the round ends.
CJ Score: 10-9 Semerzier
Round 2: Peralta lands a big right hook and drops Semerzier and he follows it up with more hard shots to his visibly shaken opponent but Semerzier gets a body lock and holds Peralta against the cage and regains his composure. The 2 go back to exchanging punches and kicks in the center of the cage. Again they clinch and Semerzier looks for a takedown. Peralta manages to break the clinch and they both land some good shots.
CJ Score: 10-9 Peralta
Round 3: They exchange leg kicks and Peralta continues to impose his will on the feet. Peralta and Semerzier throw simultaneous punches and their heads collide and unfortunately for Semerzier he got the worst of it and was knock down. He clung to Peralta’s leg for as long as he could but continued to take punches until the ref steps in to stop the fight.
Result: Robert Peralta winner by TKO
Alex Caceres vs Cole Escovedo
Round 1: Fighters feel eachother out and Caceres lands a good front kick to the chest and follows it with a straight left and a body kick. Caceres continues to land punches and kicks while Escovedo continues to struggle to find his range. Caceres lands a solid spinning back fist. Escovedo tries to go for a takedown but ends up on his back with Caceres throwing punches down at him. He gets back to his feet and is met with a kick. Caceres continues throwing well timed punches and kicks until Escovedo lands a big shot that sends Caceres to the mat. The round ends with both fighters swinging hard.
CJ Score: 10-9 Caceres
Round 2: Caceres goes right back to dancing in and out and landing strikes at will. Escovedo seems content to stay back and wait for an opening but he is not doing himself any favors as Caceres tees off. They hit the mat with Escovedo in full guard but Caceres gets back to his feet. Escovedo is starting to show signs of fatigue and is having more and more trouble keeping up with his foe. Caceres continues showing off his dynamic striking until the round ends.
CJ Score: 10-9 Caceres.
Round 3: Escovedo shoots and gets a take down but is immediately on defense as Caceres unleashes several submission attempts. Escovedo decides to get back to his feet after learning that Caceres has a very nasty ground game. Caceres goes back to landing an array of strikes. Escovedo attempts a flying knee but it misses and he decides to take the fight back to the ground and almost gets Caceres back but he is too high and Caceres manages to get him off while also avoiding a triangle choke.

Judges: Unanimous decision win for Alex Caceres
Mike Pierce vs Paul Bradley
Round 1: Pierce immediately puts Bradley up against the cage and they clinch briefly but break and start trading punches in the center of the cage. Pierce is getting the better of the striking but Bradley is not back up and lands a good superman punch. Briefly attempts a takedown but fails to complete it.
CJ Score: 10-9 Pierce
Round 2: The 2 go straight back to exchanging punchesand they clinch and Bradley lands a good left hook on the break. Pierce lands a good punch and presses Bradley up against the cage. They break and Bradley is bleeding. Bradley attempts a takedown but Pierce sees it coming and stops it.
CJ Score: 10-9 Pierce
Round 3: They clinch in the center of the cage and then break. Bradley rushes in for a takedown but its stuffed. They clinch until they are broken up and Bradley gets a take down but is unable to hold Pierce down. They go back to trading in the center and Pierce continues to get the better of his desperate and fatigued opponent. The round ends with both fighters swinging hard.

Aaron Rosa vs Matt Lucas
Round 1: fighters clinch against the cage and Lucas gets a take down but Rosa gets back to his feet and the start to exchange. Lucas attempts another takedown but Rosa stuffs it and they clinch against the cage again. Rosa is landing some short punches and elbows along the cage and the round ends with the fighters clinched.
CJ Score: 10-9 Rosa
Round 2: The fighters week eachother out and Lucas shoots and lands a takedown but Rosa gets right back to his feet. Lucas looks very fatigued as the fighters exchange punches and kicks. Lucas is deducted a point by referee Big John McCarthy for spitting out his mouth piece. As they start again Lucas immediately shoots and gets a takedown and the round ends with him in half hard.
CJ Score: 9-9
Round 3: Both fighters come out swinging and both land some hard shots. Lucas pushes Rosa up against the cage and they clinch. They continue to go back and forth between trading punches and clenching against the cage and Lucas again spits out his mouth piece. Rosa continues to land knees and elbows while dominating the striking in this fight.
