Victor Ortiz Says Floyd Mayweather Was Fighting Dirty, Wants Rematch
Victor Ortiz was recently interviewed by TMZ during lunch (video below) and later in studio. He had quite a few things to say:
On why he headbutted Mayweather:
“I did the headbutt but only because, I told Cortez twice he used his elbow on my eyebrow, my right eyebrow. And I said, ‘Cortez! Elbow! Elbow!’ And he says ‘Fight out of it!’ And Mayweather’s smiling at me, so I said alright, ‘boom!’ “
On taking his girlfriend to the club the night of his loss:
“You know what… I just have fun with life. Life’s a gift and take advantage of that.”
On Mayweather’s claim to be champion:
“I don’t think he’s worthy of the name champion unless he gives me the rematch. This isn’t the way something like this is supposed to end.”
