Jon Fitch to face Jonny Hendricks at UFC 141

Top welterweight contender Jon Fitch will return to the Octagon in December; as he faces off against four-time All-American wrestler Jonny Hendricks at UFC 141.

For Fitch, UFC 141 will mark his first fight since fighting BJ Penn to a technical draw at UFC 127 in February. The former wresting standout at Purdue University has racked up a 13-1-1 record in the Octagon; with his only loss coming at the hands of Georges St. Pierre in 2008. Following the defeat, Fitch compiled a five-fight win streak, and has won 21 of his last 23 fight.

Hendricks, meanwhile has compiled an 11-1 record overall; including a 6-1 mark in the UFC. He is currently riding a two-fight win streak, and a victory over Fitch could very well propel the former Oklahoma State University nationally ranked wrestler into welterweight title picture.

Fitch and Hendricks will square off at UFC 141 live December 30, in Las Vegas.
