Advice to fighters on a post-MMA career:

“Alot of these guys are under the impression that there is money to be made. And there is some money to be made for some people, but for most people, you are going to go through anywhere from a 2 to a 10 year career, and a good year will be $30,000 a year. So nobody’s really retiring on that kind of money.”

On the Michael Bisping fight:

“You can’t take anything away from Mike Bisping. He’s proven time and time again, the guy is an incredible competitor. He knows how to win fights. He did that against me. I had an armbar against him and I thought I was going to be able to finish. And he was very expert in the way that he used the cage to maneuver out of the armbar without exerting to much energy. And hey, he put a beating on me after that.”
